Budget Aggro Pally

Hearthstone Build and Play

I’m continuing my quest to get better at Hearthstone by building and playing decks from hsreplay.net. Of course, I usually don’t have all of the cards that I need, and today is no exception. It’s been over a week since I’ve played and the meta has shifted significantly. Treant druid aside, there’s nothing I can really build with my collection in the first two pages of winning standard decks.

On the bottom half of the third page, there is an “Aggro paladin” build that I’m only a few cards away from. I have no dust to speak of, so crafting those cards is out of the question, but may be I can find reasonable substitutes.

The first two substitutions are easy. I only have one “For Quel’Thalas!” but I have two Righteous Protectors, so I put in both of those. I only have one Hi Ho Silverwing, which has the deathrattle of “draw a holy spell”. I used a Dryscale Deputy as the substitute here because they’re both 2 cost minions with a draw effect.

I had everything else I needed except for two copies of “The Garden’s Grace,” which is a 10 cost holy spell that gives a minion +5/+5 and divine shield, and that costs less for each holy spell previously cast. I substituted two “Hands of A’dal” because they’re also holy spells that buff minions, albeit at a different scale. The Hands seemed like a good choice because they also have a draw effect that can help make up for the fact I don’t have quite all of the cards that the deck usually calls for, and since they’re a cheap buff, they also help as a stand-in for “For Quel’Thalas!”
